I'm currently working in a recording studios and what I hear the most is artists want to join bigger labels, because they want to be famous.

These big labels do the following...

Offering an amount of money for the artist to sign a contract and then the artist is their, (I don't like to use this word, but I have to), slave.

When I say I don't like to my friend, who is an excellent singer and songwriter, in the hands of those bastards, they say I'm crazy and I don't know what I'm talking about.
