I Was Evicted, What Now?
It was 10 am on Sunday, I woke up with someone ringing the bell, left my wife to sleep and went to see who it was. When I got to the door I saw that my landlord was with two police officers, I opened the door and greeted them.
— Good Morning!
— Good morning, I have an eviction order here, you have until 11:59 pm today to leave this room. Said the landlord.
— And where am I going with my family?
— It doesn’t concern me. When last month you called me to ask for help because you had no money to pay the rent, I was gentle with you and your family, and I helped you, however, yesterday, I was passing by the corner cafe and I saw you very rested, laughing with his friends, I waited for him to leave (it was a good wait), and I went to ask the cafe owner if you went once without an example or if you was a regular customer, believe me when I wanted him he had told me that it was a time without an example, but in reality it was the opposite, the owner even told me more that you had spent the equivalent of your rent that week. Let me refresh your memory, the rent I ask my tenants is the lowest in this country, when someone asks me for help, I help because I know what it is like to be in that situation, but when I find out they are laughing at me, I have to take action.
