(im)Perfections
She asked me:
Baby, what are my imperfections?
And this was the most difficult question anyone has ever asked me, but my words were:
You don’t have any imperfections, you are perfect!
She was mad at me…
And I understand why, she trusted me and wanted me to be sincere, in saying that she had no imperfections, she knew that I was lying, because I wasn’t seeing her with the same eyes that she saw herself. I was watching her with the eyes of someone in love, where the imperfections she knows she has are perfect in my eyes.
But she had imperfections, we all have, she, I, the neighbor of 2C, the reader of this, everyone. What happens is, that when we are in love, these imperfections become perfections. When we are in love, the marks that we have on the body, that we don’t like at all, and that we would give everything to remove them, do not matter in the eyes of our soul mate.
And I don’t mean physical imperfections, but also each person’s past, each person has emotional baggage, however, when we meet that person who truly loves us, nothing else matters. When we meet this person, who makes us feel free to talk about our past without filter, the past we were ashamed of, we will be lighter and more available to create…
