Freedom of Speech day connected to 4/20

For everyone who don’t know, in April 25th is very important day to Portugal, it was the day we said Welcome Freedom from the hands of communism. Yes, the public safes were full of money, the Coca-Cola was forbidden, and the constructions paid by the state cost no more than what was planned, and didn’t take more time than the planned, but there was no freedom of speech.

So, a few hours after April 25th, 1974, the soldiers was preparing a revolution, but without blood, they put Cravos (a type of flower), at the G3, and invite the population to walk in the streets with them. It was interesting, not so interest the empty public safes right after the first person elected for the government, but let’s focus on the positive side.

Today I had a strange dream (maybe this will be as famous as Martin Luther Kings slogan, or maybe not), what if, the soldiers only had mention the revolution on April 20th, 1974, on 4/20 day? What if the soldiers had the idea after smoke a good quality Marijuana?

We will never know, Portugal, and more concretely, the soldiers who prepare everything (at least the ones who are alive at the moment), are very conservative. But I’ll believe that Marijuana was responsible to bring the freedom to Portugal!
